Another quilt cover!!!

Tonight I bought a new quilt cover. I was seriously not in the market for one, but I had to have it!

It's the Kaiden Mercury by Retro Home via Cotton Box.

I am also coveting this quilt cover, but I do believe Chris would kill me if I bought another one this year!!!

Been a while...

With so many other things going on in our life at the moment it's been hard to think about looking for and buying a house.

It's still a priority; however it's just lower down on the list than we would like at the moment.

I have bought a number of items while I was absent - mainly quilt covers (I have 4 new ones!!!!) - I swapped my blue Dave laptop table for a red one (Mum inherited the blue one), I got a MacBook Pro and I also bought an Ikea Malm chest of drawers which has been my favourite purchase!!! I had always planned on having a white furniture bedroom, but this colour is so fresh and warm at the same time!

House hunting... again!

We have decided once again that we are house hunting.

Despite me losing my job and my husband getting a new one, we've decided that now is the right time.

Our location for searching has changed. We're now thinking we need to be somewhere in between Sydney and the Hunter Valley. I'm not exactly thrilled with this location, but I can see that it makes sense. I want to be more in Newcastle, but I do like the idea of being closer to Sydney too.

There are lots of locations to choose from along the Central Coast. And there is both rural, suburban and coastal. I'm leaning toward a rural setting, however my husband wants something suburban.

Personally I'll be happy if we can just find a house that I love!

I have spent the week browsing real estate websites and so far I have come up with two places I'd kind of like to go and see. But there isn't that much desire.

I guess I just keep looking... or look into building!

My new friend

I have been wanting to bring this little guy home for a long time now. I fell in love with him after he appeared in a few magazine issues last year. He is a bone china squirrel lamp. He's a lot bigger than I expected. But I am thrilled with him! I didn't think I'd get a lot of light from him, I thought it would be very subtle, but it's quite strong!
I think he needs a name!

Coveting cutlery

I'm just doing some online browsing for a friend's birthday present and I came upon this gorgeous coloured cutlery set!

Now I only need to convince my husband that we need this $400 cutlery set!

How much fun would these stairs have been growing up!!! Not sure I'd have a go now, but I'd be tempted!!!
